Basswood in bloom.
Our Basswood honey comes from groves of basswood (linden) trees in central Minnesota. This tree, which grows heartily in the Midwest, produces yellowish-white blossoms and a nectar that honeybees love. The honey is light and mild, with a slightly buttery taste.
Note that this honey granulates very quickly, so we recommend purchasing an amount that will be used within 2-3 months. (Or the container can be frozen until use. Freezing will not affect the nutritional value of the honey.)
